I had watched the anime before so this was an easy purchase. Looks good in the all black version

i watched the live action Death Note (2 parter) back in the day (please don't watch the Netflix version gawd) and liked it lot but never really bothered to watch the anime or read the manga as I already knew the story. Later on in life, i was told that I'm missing a lot of back stories and plot points by not reading the manga. So fine, let me get it but....the original collected series is like over $200. So, hell to the no. Saw the thick Omnibus version and imma like....nope. So i went for this Black series instead. Loved it! It's in a bigger format so I can read it with my old eyes. Only thing is, they printed the edge black, so i feel like i always have to wash my hands after holding the book. But glad i bought this version. OH! and the seller packed it nicely with no bends and damages. So, thank you!

Love this edition. Seems appropriate to read Death note like this but volume 6 had a significant gash down the spine. The rest were in good condition.

I watched the netflix movie and then after watched the dubbed series of death note. They bout hit me as amazing pieces of art. So I been looking at the manga I found the black edition a while back been watching it not ready to pull the trigger. But I finally decided I wanted them for looks and to read. It is a paper back so if u like or dislike that that is ur choice but that being said. The all black page edge and awesome quality of design I have been pleased. It is awesome for display. I have not started reading them tho I thump thru the first book and I am excited to read it. I cant wait for when I have time to sit down and do so
